Felons who have finished their sentence and paid for their crimes should have the right to vote. They are citizens.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: What sort of voting rights was this about? Across the board restoration of voting rights for felons, or even voting rights for felons while incarcerated? Or rights for illegal aliens?  Maybe rights for children? Not rights for dead people, surely? Doesn't the Democrat Party try to keep that last one hushed up? Seems to me that law-abiding adult citizens of this country of both sexes and all races already have voting rights, so I'm curious as to what this "fight," as the poster called it, was all about....
