Very interesting term Politburo. An appropriate comparison. Haven't heard that in a while. And I'd support those ideas about dual goals of a clean planet. . . . plus . . . . reliable power, freedom from blackouts, free market driven choices of personal transportation, the defense of this country, a good standard of living for all, and so forth. For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: It's definitely to China's advantage to have the USA's power infrastructure fail while China's thrives--and it's not like China cares about this clean planet stuff. I'm for a clean planet when it doesn't negatively impact FAR MORE IMPORTANT things like the defense of this country, a good standard of living for all, and so forth--but those things are no longer even considered by Democrats--or if they consider them at breakfast, they've forgotten them by lunchtime. Conversely, maybe they think that since they will be part of the Politburo, all the things that will crush the rest of us don't matter to their high and mighty selves. |
