For what it's worth, in case you haven't been following the forum, I am not in favor of Trump running again so I don't want to get involved in the debate between you and Tom. Just want to put that out there.
That said, I have a question. You wrote: I also support a business' right to screen false, hateful, dangerous, etc. content posted on their platform. Who determines what is "false, hateful, dangerous, etc.?" These things should not be decided by partisan players, nor by government interence, would you agree? And that is clearly what happened with Twitter, is happening with Facebook, is especially happening with Tik-tok (Chinese government), and so forth. Your thoughts? |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I do support freedom of speech. I also support a business' right to screen false, hateful, dangerous, etc. content posted on their platform. If you don't like the terms of service of the platform, then move on to another one, or start your own. It appears that Trump is not 100% on the side of the Constitution when it does not suit continued false claim that the 2020 election was stolen. Trumps post on Truth Social: “Do you throw the Presidential Election Results of 2020 OUT and declare the RIGHTFUL WINNER, or do you have a NEW ELECTION? A Massive Fraud of this type and magnitude allows for the termination of all rules, regulations, and articles, even those found in the Constitution.” |
