I brought up that I am astounded that anyone thinks that smashing in a window to a federal building during a riot and then forcibly attempting to enter that building through said window WOULDN’T POTENTIALLY GET YOU SHOT.

You make it seem with all your talk of elderly people just like, milling around Congress with flags, all harmless and patriotic-like, that it was just a quiet and peaceful day of tourism. It wasn’t. You seem to be leaving out the parts where people bum rushed cops, pushed cops, punched cops, pushed against police barriers, smashed cops between doors/walls… all caught on camera. You seem to have forgotten the footage of people scaling the side of the building , attempting to break in from the side. They weren’t “armed,” not traditionally speaking. But they had cool stuff like mace and zipties. What do you think those zipties were for? You think those peaceful, calm, rational patriots were carrying those zipties around for kicks? Or do you think it might have had something to do with those things many of them were saying about rounding up “traitors?” You think it might have has some tangential connection to, I dunno, the notion that traitors need to be captured and killed? Do I need to remind you that these VERY PATRIOTIC PEOPLE built a functional gallows, saw fit to bring said gallows to the US Capitol, and say loudly and repeatedly that people like Mike Pence should be hung for their, *achem*, “treasonous” activities?
