Robert You may recall I was objecting to the idea that more geniuses (sorry, “patriots”…) are going to end up getting shot in the face.
So I'd again point out my objections to multiple shootings in the future. That's wrong. Its not OK. It deserves being renounced. Now today you've shifted into arguing the Ashli Babbit case. And that's the subject of a lawsuit brought by Babbit's family. Click Here Report titled: Family of slain Jan 6 protester Ashli Babbitt suing Capitol Police for $10mn over 'failure to warn' before shooting Quotes from the family's attorney: “It’s not debatable. There was no warning . . . I would call what he did an ambush." The attorney, Terry Roberts also said -- no one appears to be ducking for cover in the moments before Babbitt was shot, which also suggests that the cop gave no verbal warning. In addition, the issue of govt failure to allow access to 14,000 hours of video has come up in the Babbit case. That refusal to allow access to the govt's own video system recordings smells like a coverup. And a stalling tactic. See the bunch of other messages mentioning that problem. Raises the big question -- What are they hiding ?? Of course, in court cases there's always arguments on both sides. So it will be decided in court, not here on the OP Forum.

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I seem to recall the victim smashing in a window to the US Capitol building and trying to enter through that smashed window. And people are shocked she got shot? I mean…really? What do you think happens when you forcibly try to enter a government facility through a broken window during a riot? How do you think things like that are supposed to go? What is the proper protocol for dealing with a mob trying to enter a building through a smashed window? Should the cop have attempted to have a political debate? Should he have tried to explain to the victim the error or her ways? Should he have wagged his finger disapprovingly? “Rogue cops…” give me a break. The US Capitol was under assault…yes, that’s what it’s called when people are forcibly trying to enter a government building through a window they just smashed… and someone got shot. Like…no kidding. A ten year old could probably tell you that something like that is likely to happen when you storm a government facility, smash windows, bum rush cops, and walk around the floors of the just-evacuated Congress with zip ties looking for “traitors “ while a gallows waits outside. |
