I know we did secure a domain to get a website up but have not got the savvy or money to move any further with it at this time. I would like to recommend to our folks to forget that and just use this forum for search recognition. I'm anticipating they'll ask me if Google would pick this forum up if we were Googled as they would if we paid to develop the website.
If you answered this question, sorry, I didn't understand so let me simply ask....if someone Googled "Worcester County Tea Party" would this forum show up as a selection on the results page? Sorry to be so igggorant on this stuff! |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Google search results are based almost entirely on what TEXT is on a given page, no matter what the domain name. Sure you could register a domain name, set it up on a server, etc. etc. But you would not have the functionality you have here.... you could get the functionality... for some substantial dollars. I can point this software to any domain name, and show a more custom design without ads but that would cost money. You can go to any big domain registrar like GoDaddy, register a name and get a web site on the cheap. In fact, someone has already registered "worcestercountyteaparty.org" and has a web site up running something called WordPress that does things similar to what is available here. The group seems to have several people moving perhaps independently on parallel tracks. Domain ID:D163606975-LROR |
