Section 4: General Subject: Poll code Msg# 799526

I could take it down, change it, repost the poll, and it would have cleared any early responses and start again. Just take an incorrect poll down and start a new one. Anyway, I'll look at the code and see if I can allow taking down and then reopening. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Under the old code, if I decided to change a poll after I'd posted it--say if I made a gross mistake and the poll had only been up a very short time, I could take it down, change it, repost the poll, and it would have cleared any early responses and start again. No harm no foul. Now it retains previous votes yet allows everyone to vote again. Yikes. If I change it without inactivating it still retains previous votes of course and either way if I've added anything or changed order, that is a problem. The polls on Firearms generate lots of discussions. |
