500 is too much. No--no way--I just checked MEF. I have got no time this week to go through 500 messages, 450 of which at least are going to be messags I've read, yet how else can I see the maybe 50 new ones? You hve got to change this so can see the new ones without wading through 500 old messages yet again--after I've done this twice before this week. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Another benefit if the new marked-as-read code works out: A user could just read all new messages in a single section on each visit and that individual section would always be up to date when showing new messages. My only concern on this, as mentioned previously, is the paging is somewhat slower. PS -- a immenient code update will result in Sysops seeing 500 new messages until you mark all as read.... or read them all. |
