I haven't had any problems at all with new members coming in and causing problems in any forum for a very long time, so right now I'd be unlikely to set an entire forum to CanPost=Flase. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: Setting a user flag to False for CanPost when editing a user prevents the user from posting messages. There is also a flag to make an entire forum a CanPostForum. If this flag is set to True then all new forum members are automatically set to False for CanPost and they cannot post messages until requesting permission from manager. Currently managers do not have the ability to make a forum a CanPostForum, but I am considering making this available to managers. |
