I can't give you a link because that was my only example (my first feature post-code change)and I guarantee I did not add the border manually. 

I changed the title image a couple times because originally I had the one of the member's images plus blank white space to the right and below, with title text, some on top of the image. 

Well, I uploaded it and lo and behold all the "white space," instead of blending into the article, was surrounded by a thin black border.  I tried a couple different options and all were surrounded by borders.  Finally I just made a title image that would work okay with a border I didn't really want.
