I'm a bit confused because I thought it did pop up in a small window, now I realize it is complete window. You mean a window without the complete window headers, right? I'll have to look up how to do that. Within the forums it is automatic and I'm not used to making external links for the home page. I use Top Doll because the more times it is clicked on the closer to their "top 100 " my site is listed and the more forum hits I'm likely to get. So I click on it and then close the window that pops up. I will also change the new link--thanks very much for these tips. One other thing I'd like to try sometime is the "latest contributors" list in the right vertical bar that you've placed in a couple of the forums. Is that something you've done within the basic code that you can make available? The only thing I'd want to change is to remove myself from the running, so to speak, because as manager or operator of my own forum I'm not in competition with the other users and don't want to seem like I'm challenging them. |

For reference, the above message is a reply to a message where: I noticed your link to Top Doll Sites on the home page. You should consider making the link code open the site in a small window so your users are not taken away from your site. Just put the link in a test message and then use the url in the message. Also, you should ask them to change the url linking from their site to yours to the new link - www.immediateweb.com/mef |
