Description: This stonework is in the Merovingian crypt of Jouarre in France. I was amazed that the pattern looks so much like the pattern in a textile, and apparently I'm not the only one to think so: the nuns currently living in the abbey of Jouarre have picked up this motif and used it in one of their cloth hangings....
