Description: This is the "Flying Dutchman" shuttle from Louet -- but that's not why I'm uploading this photo.<g> This is a "fix" for noisy bobbins. Take a cardboard quill, break it in half, and stuff it into the core of the bobbin. The bobbin will ride on the cardboard instead of the metal shaft -- and it's much quieter!
